Two festivals of equal significance—Vigan’s Raniag Twillight Festival and Camiguin’s Lanzones Festival—are about to become all the more spectacular this weekend as GMA Network, through its regional arm, GMA Regional TV, brings its brightest stars to fascinate Kapusong Bigueños and Camiguinons, respectively.
Jumpstarting the series of exciting activities is the much-awaited visit of the cast of top-rating fiery afternoon series “Pyra Babaeng Apoy” to the Heritage City of Vigan.
Lead star Thea Tolentino, together with Jeric Gonzales, Elle Ramirez, and Zandra Summer participate in the Raniag Twilight Parade tomorrow, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. They are to light up Vigan streets in a tour that will start from the Vigan City Hall up to the city’s most popular park, the Plaza Burgos, where the Kapuso Night will be held at 7 p.m.
In the said Kapuso Night, Thea, Jeric, Elle, and Zandra, will be joined by co-star Angelu de Leon, and Kapuso stars Mike Tan, Jackie Rice, Kevin Santos, together with comedians Pekto and Boobay.
Meanwhile, the 4th Raniag Twilight Festival just gets bigger and brighter as the Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera makes her way to Vigan on Oct. 27, Sunday, to mingle with her supporters via a Kapuso Fans’ Day to be held in front of the Vigan City Hall at 8 p.m. Prior to this trip, Marian has already made waves in the cities of Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Batangas, Lucena, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tagbilaran, GenSan, Naga, Dumaguete, and Bacolod—areas where she notably received phenomenal audience turnouts.
Also on the roll this weekend is the Lanzones Festival celebrated annually in the country’s second smallest province—Camiguin—specifically in the town of Mambajao, as a thanksgiving for the island’s bountiful harvest.
Festivities begin today, Oct. 25, with the Mutya ng Buahanan 2013 happening at the Provincial Tourism Center at 7 p.m. to be participated in by GMA Artist Center talent Derrick Monasterio.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, GMA Regional TV mounts a Kapuso Night at the Provincial Tourism Center at 7pm featuring Rhian Ramos, lead actress of newest primetime drama series Genesis, together with Bea Binene, Ken Chan, and Gladys Guevarra to delight Kapusong Camiguinons.
